Successful pan-European 400 Gbit/s field trial
KPN International and Huawei announced the successful completion of the world's first pan-European 400 Gbit/s field trial. The OTN-based 400 Gbit/s network spans 540 km between Amsterdam and Dusseldorf and vice versa. The successful trial of 400 Gbit/s long-haul transmission on a live network marks a major leap forward for 400 Gbit/s, which is no longer confined to the laboratory.
